History Through Art Via The Internet
by MorganMoran71 on Feb.24, 2012, under Raves
This painting, by Chinese artists Dai Dudu, Li Tiezi and Zhang An was originally done in 2006 with oil on canvas.
The really cool thing is that if you click on the picture above, you will be taken to a much larger, interactive version of the painting.
As you hover over individuals in the painting you will be told who they are. This alone could keep you busy wondering such things as why the artists have Hitler, Mussolini and Saddam Hussein sitting around the piano being played by Beethoven and accompanied by Audrey Hepburn.
But, it doesn’t end there. Each person’s biography can be found by clicking on any individual in the picture. What a cool way to learn a little more about history.
Bravo!

by MorganMoran71 on Nov.15, 2011, under Raves
MagneticOne Store Manager for Zen Cart works as advertised!
As you know, I really love it when products do what they say they will do, and this one goes way beyond!
The software is easy to install and simple to use and understand.
The features are way more enhanced than I would have ever imagined. I was really looking for a way to import and export products efficiently, and was pleasantly surprised to also find all of the reporting and CRM functions the software has.
I ran into a small issue getting the software linked up with my database. The tech support team was quick and responded with the information I needed to get it set up correctly.
If you have a Zen Cart store with more than a handful of products you have to try this software (they have a fully functional 30 day trial).
After you try it I am sure you will agree it is easily worth the price.
And for the record, I am in no way affiliated with this product or the company that makes it. I just really believe that when a beacon of light shines forth in this sea of inadequate products and apathetic customer service reps, it is in everyone’s best interest to help as many people “see the light.”
Adele – Someone Like You (Live in Her Home)
by MorganMoran71 on Nov.04, 2011, under Raves
I have to admit that the song “someone Like You” by Adele makes the hair on my arms stand up and gives me those little chicken bumps all over. What an amazing voice and the lyrics just reach in and touch my soul. Even though I am not going through what she is singing about, I can’t help but know exactly how she feels.
TANGENT ALERT!!!!
<tan>
I also love how the English accent completely disappears when she starts singing. That seems to be the case with many British artists now that I think about it. Actually, when I really start thinking about it, I cannot name any song that is performed with an English accent. Is it possible that harmony and an English accent cannot coincide? Does this prove, in some cosmic way, that it is in fact the British that have the accent, and not the Americans?

Anyway…Bravo Adele!
Chili’s Online Ordering System
by MorganMoran71 on Oct.24, 2011, under Raves
I just love things that work well and as advertised. The Chili’s online “to-go” ordering system fits that bill.
I have used a few online ordering systems in the past and they all leave something to be desired. The biggest challenge most online menu ordering systems have is allowing customers to make any changes or special requests to their order. The Chili’s system tackles this issue nicely.
It is surprisingly fast and accurate and offers a great alternative to ordering delivery on those nights that you don’t feel like going out or cooking.
If only they added the curbside service…then I wouldn’t have to burn any calories in the process of getting my meal.

by MorganMoran71 on Oct.15, 2011, under Raves
I received a voicemail today from the manager at Just Brakes by my house. I really wish I would have paid better attention to his name before I hastily deleted the voicemail…oh well.
Either way, the call was just to let me know that they have added some new services and knew that they hadn’t seen me in a while (I have not been there or communicated with them in at least 2-3 years), but wanted to make sure that everything was okay.
I LOVE GOOD SALES AND MARKETING!!
To me this is good marketing. It is personable (it was a live call, not an automated system), informative, and non-intrusive.
As it happens, my oil change light has been blinking and I will most likely take it there this weekend.
Way to go anonymous manager at Just Brakes in Chandler, AZ.
I LOVE IT!!
